Animal Kingdom aims for a Royal Ascot win
Animal Kingdom is sure to be the favourite to win against 12 other rivals in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.
The US-trained giant chestnut Animal Kingdom, who won the 2011 Kentucky Derby and the 2013 Dubai World Cup, will be hoping to add an Ascot win to his collection, before he retires to stud.
Animal Kingdom blew away the rest of tdhe field at the Dubai Meydan Racecourse in April, to become only the second Kentucky Derby winner to triumph in the Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest race.
The 5-day Royal Ascot meeting will see 30 races, prize money of over £5 million and see over 280,000 spectators in attendance who will consume over 50,000 bottles of champagne. For more information visit our Royal Ascot festival guide.
