Wisdom a true pearl
Steve Hughes has another best bet for Killarney’s July Festival on Wednesday
It is flat racing all the way for Killarney’s Wednesday card and the highlight is a listed fillies contest. I have an each-way fancy for the race. We found the big winner on Tuesday with Static Jack (advised 11/2).
Killarney 7.30: Wisdom Mind
In the expectation of some rain during the day in the south-west of Ireland, Wisdom Mind appeals as a good each-way option in this listed race – apparently the first string of Joseph O’Brien’s contenders.
All her best form has come with cut in the ground, most recently when a fast finishing second at Musselburgh at this level over 7f. Prior to that she filled the same position in a Gowran handicap in the spring. Last season her only win came on heavy in a Curragh maiden, whilst she was second under testing conditions at Limerick.
Essentially the more rain the better for this 4yo. She looked a little paceless on fast ground at Pontefract last time, but this is not the strongest of listed races and if we do get some cut by race time, she will surely make her presence felt.
Recommended bet:
1pt each-way – Wisdom Mind – 7.30 Killarney – 8/1 general
